Outdoor LED Strip Lighting
for Building Facade Projects
IP65 / IP68 Waterproof | High Temperature Resistant | Long Run Installation
Common Challenges in Outdoor Building Lighting
We understand the engineering demands that facade and exterior lighting projects face — especially in extreme climates.
Extreme Heat Exposure
Middle East temperatures regularly exceed 50°C. Standard LED strips degrade rapidly, causing premature failure and brightness loss.
Water Infiltration
Heavy rain, sandstorms, and humidity cause water ingress into poorly sealed strips, leading to short circuits and corrosion.
Voltage Drop Over Distance
Building facades require runs of 50–100+ meters. Without proper voltage planning, the end of the strip is noticeably dimmer.
Uneven Facade Brightness
Different sections of a building appear inconsistent due to mixed batches, poor wiring layout, or inadequate power distribution.
Difficult Post-Installation Maintenance
Exterior installations on high-rise buildings are expensive and dangerous to access. Quality must be right the first time.

IP Rating Selection
Voltage & Power Layout
Designed for High Temperature & Harsh Environments
Our outdoor LED strips are specifically engineered and tested for extreme climate conditions found in the Middle East, North Africa, and tropical regions.
Heat Resistant
Hot-climate projects require model-specific review of ambient temperature, power loading, mounting profile, enclosure, and ventilation.
Waterproof & Dustproof
IP68 silicone encapsulation resists rain, sandstorms, salt spray, and UV radiation year-round.
Stable Power Output
Constant current IC design maintains uniform brightness across 50–100m runs even under voltage fluctuation.
Outdoor LED Strip Installation Tips
Best practices from our engineering team for long-lasting, maintenance-free outdoor installations.
Use Aluminum Channel for Heat Dissipation
Mount LED strips on aluminum extrusion channels to reduce operating temperature by 15–20°C, significantly extending lifespan in hot climates.
Separate Power Supply per Facade Section
Divide long facades into zones with independent power supplies. This ensures uniform brightness and simplifies maintenance if one section needs attention.
Use IP68 Waterproof Connectors
All connection joints must use waterproof rated connectors. Standard connectors are the most common failure point in outdoor installations.
Seal All End Caps Properly
Apply silicone sealant on every cut end and connector point. Even IP68-rated strips can fail if end caps are not properly sealed during installation.

FAQ — Outdoor LED Strip Lighting
Answers to common engineering questions about outdoor building lighting projects.
Our current catalog includes IP65 and IP68 options. Select the rating only after reviewing exposure, drainage, UV, cable entries, connectors, end sealing, mounting orientation, and maintenance access.
Hot-climate use is possible with the right model and system design. Share the expected ambient temperature, daily operating time, enclosure conditions, mounting material, and power loading so we can review the specification before sampling.
For long contour runs over 20 meters, AC220V is ideal — it supports up to 100m in a single run without external drivers. For areas requiring precise dimming control (DMX/DALI) or complex lighting scenes, DC24V with distributed power injection is the better choice. Many large projects use both systems in different zones.
For AC220V strips, voltage drop is minimal over 100m runs. For DC24V systems, use parallel wiring with power injection every 5–10 meters, or use double-end power feeding. Our engineering team provides wiring layout diagrams for qualified projects for projects over 500 meters total length.
Service life depends on LED loading, thermal management, driver quality, voltage drop, sealing, UV exposure, installation quality, and maintenance. Request model-specific test data and validate a sample under representative project conditions.
